Lightwoods House and Park have undergone a large-scale renovation project assisted by HLF funding.
The Park will provide a green space for the local community to use and enjoy. The House, which is due to open in Summer 2017, will be a community facility with community rooms, a tea room, rented office space, as well a function room and meeting rooms to hire. There is also an adjoining, privately-run Nursery.
Private events, including weddings, will be held in the function room and Bandstand, while community engagement activities will be held both in the House and in the Park and Gardens. Public events such as concerts and fairs will also take place.
We are looking for a person with an interest in working in both the private and public/community sides of Lightwoods House and Park. They would be involved in all aspects of a public-facing role to help make the House and Park a flagship site in Sandwell. Applicants should have a passion for working with people of all demographics in a variety of ways. A flexible approach to work will be essential.
