This is an exciting time to be joining the City of Wolverhampton Council. This year we have won the MJ’s Local Authority of the Year and Most Improved Council Award and Ofsted recently rated our Children’s Services Good - putting us in the top 20% of authorities nationally. We’re a transformed council and we’re looking for a talented professional to help us deliver a new, outcome-based accountability performance framework and create the best insight and performance team in the region.

You must have a proven track record of leading high quality insight and performance services and supporting senior managers at director-level to deliver results.

The successful applicant will be responsible for operationally delivering an insight and performance service to our adults and children’s social care directorates, developing performance management frameworks, responding to the performance and reporting needs of the business, meeting statutory reporting requirements and managing a team of analysts. You will also support the Insight and Performance Manager in delivering an ambitious strategic agenda across the council designed to enhance evidence-based decision making

Applicants must be strong leaders, demonstrate initiative and creativity, have excellent communication and organisation skills and be able to work with people at all levels including leading a team of staff.
