The post holder will be involved in all aspects of Environmental Health work at a key level. The major tasks undertaken will be concerned with Food Safety, Health & Safety, Private Water Supply and all Licensing functions undertaken by the section to the highest standards of customer service.
The person appointed will work under the general supervision of the Food and Health and Safety Manager, dealing with proactive and reactive work issues within all areas of the district and will provide assistance in the execution of the teams duties as required.

Applicants should hold one of the following qualifications:
• BSc (Hons) Environmental Health
• MSc Environmental Health
• Diploma in Environmental Health
and also a
• EHORB Certificate of Registration
• Food Lead Auditor Qualification

You should have recent experience and possess an extensive knowledge of Food Safety plus Health and Safety enforcement. It is important you have a technical understanding of the food production processes carried out within the Food Authority's area.

This is a part time role with a working arrangement based on a 3 day/2 day fortnight (Wed to Fri).
