The Systems Development and Architecture team are responsible for system support and development across the whole of Warwickshire County Council. We are a department of 40 split between three teams - Productions Systems, Technology and Architecture and Development and Analysis. Owing to an internal secondment to support a large scale project, we have the chance for you to join us as our Systems Development and Architecture Manager on a 12 month fixed term contract.

One of your key responsibilities as you walk into this role will be some of the most critical corporate priority projects, designed to enable the people of Warwickshire a greater digital online experience. This is a huge, new and innovative direction for us. That, along with delivering significant cost savings for the authority, means you’ll rarely face a dull moment.
Being a skilled people person, you might be working (or have worked) as a Technical Development Manager or similar, either within or outside of public sector. You will be looking for a role where you work autonomously, flexibly and have an innovative and varied workload within the development, support and strategy space. You’ll be interested in being part of a culture that celebrates and encourages flexible working and champion’s individual impact.
To be the most effective in this role, you will;
- have experience of running a development team and come with a coding or technical background,
