Hours: 37 hours per week, working outside of normal office hours.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Adult Emergency Duty Team in Stoke-on-Trent as a full time Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). The post requires an individual who has a sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act, statutory guidance and related legislation and is already acting as a n AMHP. We are looking for an AMHP who will become part of our AMHP team triaging and completing Mental Health Act assessments across the city and wider area. As an AMHP working for Stoke-on-Trent City Council you will benefit from being part of a supportive organisation and team where you will have the opportunity to attend peer supervision, regular AMHP forums and training events throughout the course of the year to ensure CPD requirements are met.
As an AMHP you will be working alongside our health and social care colleagues to promote the least restrictive approach to mental health recovery.
