The Adult & Community Learning Team provides learning opportunities to adults aged 19+ who live in the Telford area and targets adults who are unemployed, low skilled or disadvantaged.

We were judged as a good provider with outstanding features by Ofsted at our last inspection in March 2016, and we strive to provide outstanding learning opportunities to our local communities.  We work hard to help learners progress into further learning or employment when they complete our programmes and use a wide range of partners to support this.

The courses that we provide are funded by the Skills Funding Agency and our learning offer includes functional skills English and maths alongside sector specific courses, employability skills and provision designed to improve wellbeing, in addition to family learning courses delivered to parents in schools.

We are looking for skilled and experienced teaching and learning professionals that share our commitment and enthusiasm for supporting adults to build their skills and find work. Specifically we need people that have teaching experience of any one (or more) of the following:

  • Crafts or art based courses e.g. clay, art, floristry
  • Child development, early years or psychology
  • Family Learning
  • Yoga or Tai Chi
  • Health and Safety, Manual Handling, First Aid, Food Safety
  • Health & Social Care
  • Cooking and healthy eating
  • Mental Health awareness
  • Business administration, customer services and employability
  • Languages
  • Functional skills English or maths

We are a small, friendly and supportive team and would love to hear from you if you share our passion for delivering high-quality learning that really makes a difference.
