We are looking to recruit an experienced social worker within the children’s disability team. We are dedicated to making the right decisions for children and families in Coventry and strive to achieve positive outcomes for them.

The social worker would work as part of the All Age Disability Service, to manage caseloads of children and young people with complex needs and disabilities.

The social worker will be expected to plan intensive interventions for looked after children and undertake child protection and review children in need. As part of this work, the applicant will be required to implement, monitor and review plans with a multi-agency approach.

The applicant will need to be skilled in compiling reports in a timely manner for case conferences and court/statutory panels/LAC Reviews in accordance with statutory procedures and practice.

The social worker will need to be skilled in being able to communicate with disabled children and their families, be enthusiastic in achieving positive outcomes for young people and a reflective practitioner.

Owing to the nature of the children and young people we work with it is essential that the applicant has child protection experience and some experience of working with children with a disability is desirable.
