PO16 £53,512 - £56,624 per annum*
37 hours per week
Permanent
*Pay includes market factor allowance of £3,000.
Additionally, there is free on-site parking and you will receive full reimbursement of your annual Social Work England registration fee.

We have a great opportunity for a full time Family Connect Safeguarding Team Manager . This busy team is very experienced, highly supportive, friendly and enthusiastic about what they do.
Established Family Connect, is a multiagency partnership approach to safeguarding children and young people.
Family Connect operates a single point of contact for services accessed by the public and professionals to ensure that the right service is delivered at the right time, in the right place by the right people.
Family Connect is a multi agency partnership approach to safeguarding children and young people that support early help and safeguarding decisions. The partnership working provides the platform for timely informed decision making and offers triage support for the purpose of safeguarding children or offering early help and prevention solutions supported by integrated working practices.
The Family Connect Safeguarding Team Manager is responsible for Leadership, management, supervision, accountability and quality assurance for a group of social work and other staff within a specific service area to ensure that the service provided is of a consistently high standard and meets the needs of Telford & Wrekin’s communities and supports the Council’s visions and priorities.
Positively engaging in, actively promoting and lead the systemic approach to work being done with children, young people and families.
To undertake duties expected of social work managers in line with the Professional Capabilities Framework at advanced level.

NJC Pay Award: Subject to approval
A pay award offer has been made to Trade Unions for consideration with regards to employees on NJC conditions of service. If agreed this would mean an increase of £1,925 per annum (pro rata for part-time employees) for employees on NJC pay points 2-43. The offer for employees paid above point 43 is 3.88%. The pay award, if agreed, would be effective from 1 April 2023 or the employee’s start date if joining after 1st April 2023.
