Estate Maintenance / Grave Digging Operative
Coventry City Council Bereavement Services provide a quality service for the bereaved, we maintain 6 Cemeteries across the City. You could be based at any of the Cemeteries.
You must be physically fit and willing to work in all weathers, will be expected to understand the principles of how a grave is marked out, prepared and dug while respecting graves around them.
You will have some experience in grounds maintenance as you will be expected to undertake a wide variety of ground maintenance operations. The post requires that you must be able to communicate effectively with the burial supervisor and members of the public and have an understanding of the principles of good customer care.
You should have a knowledge of health and safety relating to working in deep excavations and grounds maintenance operations.
You will need to have a full and current driving licence and a knowledge of grounds maintenance and associated equipment.
Work Pattern: Summer 7.30 – 4.00, Winter 8.30 – 4.00
