Community Engagement Assistant
Salary: OPS1 £15,644 - £16,839 per annum
Fixed Contract until March 2018
A fixed term position is available from June 2017 to March 2018 within the Community Engagement team for Worcester City Council’s Cleaner and Greener City Services. We are looking for someone who has either experience or transferable skills in supporting and enable community participation and events on public open space.
You will be responsible for promoting and supporting events and activities on Worcester Cities public open spaces. You will be the first point of contact for community groups and charities at events, supporting them in setting up and recording their activities. You will collect and record customer feedback and ensure any enquiries are responded to in the appropriate manner. You will be responsible for ensuring public spaces are clean and presentable for when visitors arrive, this will include some cleansing duties. You will be required to work evening and weekends on a time in lieu basis.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, hard working and able to work unsupervised and within a team. You will be able to link with partner organisations and communicate with members of the public. We would prefer candidates with knowledge/experience of our services and be able work with the community/schools. We would prefer someone with a current driving licence.
