37 hours to be worked over 5 days. There will be a requirement to work 1 Saturday in 3 (with occasional Bank Holiday commitment)

We are looking to recruit 2 enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our small and flexible Bereavement Services Team at Oakley Wood Crematorium. We currently provide around 1850 services a year and various memorial and commemorative facilities.

These are Multi-function posts and will require a wide ranging skill base and a flexible attitude towards working hours and the various duties you will be required to perform.

The post will require 3 rotating complimentary duties worked in a 3 week rotational pattern.

You will be required to provide a high quality customer focused front of house service for cremations. You will be required to operate/maintain cremation plant and equipment ensuring an effective, economical service which is compliant with all of the relevant codes of practice for which an ICCM or FBC intermediate cremator operators certificate would be required (* see note below).

You will be required to provide a high quality front of house service in relation to meeting the funeral cortege, assisting funeral directors/mourners and ministers as required.  Ensure that all music is programed for each service daily and ensure that any specific chapel requests are responded to.  Overseeing the scattering of cremated remains and woodland burials.  Ensure that all public areas are maintained to a safe and acceptable level and be a positive representative for Warwick District Council.

You will be required to perform various duties associated with the upkeep of the Crematorium grounds. E.g. Care of both chapel flower arcades, removal of old floral tributes and general tidying around the chapels. Operating lightweight grounds maintenance equipment such as lawn mowers and leaf blowers to help maintain the grounds appearance on a daily basis. Oversee the scattering of cremated remains with families and none attended scatterings.
