Full Time – possible split shift work. Required July if possible
Corley Centre is a secondary special school for children with complex social and communication difficulties.
Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Site Service Officer with a positive attitude and flexible approach. They should take pride in our school and understand that the school environment plays a significant role in our provision.
Governors are seeking someone who is motivated and able to work under their own initiative and under the direction of the School Business Manager, ensuring a safe, orderly and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.
The successful candidate will be able to carry out maintenance/DIY work to a high standard and cover for cleaning staff for short-term sickness.

The accommodation comprises a recently refurbished, 2-bedroomed detached house and garden within the school grounds, situated in Corley Village.
Potential candidates are encouraged to visit the school prior to application/interview.
Experience of working within a school environment or in a premises’ caretaking role would be an advantage.
A full driving licence confirming authorisation to drive D1 vehicles is essential.
Interview date: 9th June 2017
This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
This School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
