Pheasey Park Farm Children's Centre has the following vacancies: 

  • Nursery Room Leaders (40 hours) Salary £17,160 pa
  • Early Years Practitioners (both part-time and full time posts) Salary £15,014, pro

Pheasey Park Farm Primary School Children's Centre is run by the Governors of Pheasey Park Farm School. The Children's Centre is an integral part of the school offering support for families and child-care which was cited as 'Good' in all areas by Ofsted in 2017.

We are preparing for an expansion to our services to offer the 30 hours nursery provision from September 2017. Our building is being re­designed and refurbished to provide an excellent learning ,environment for our youngest children. Therefore, we are seeking to appoint a full time, Nursery Room Leader and a variety of Early Years' Practitioner posts.

The Nursery provides full day care provision for children aged 9 months old to 4 year olds, as well as wraparound for 3 and 4 years accessing their Nursery Education funded places and Before and After School Clubs for 4 - 11 year olds. 

The successful applicants will strengthen the Nursery staff team and contribute positively to a high quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities for Room Leader role includes:

  • To organise and provide a warm, secure and stimulating learning environment for young children
  • To plan developmentally appropriate learning programme of activities for children;
  • To fulfil the responsibilities of a keyworker for allocated children;
  • To carry out observations and assessments as required in line with the EYFS {2014 & 2017)
  • To take lead responsibility for maintaining accurate records and their security in line with the Data Protection requirements, for all children
  • Liaising with parents regarding the welfare, behaviour and achievements of their child.
  • To assist the Centre Manager and School management team as and when required.

Key responsibilities for Early Years' Practitioner roles include:             ,;

  • To assist Room leaders in providing an organised, welcoming and stimulating learning environment for all children;
  • Supporting all children in achieving their developmental milestones;
  • To implement the planned programme of activities as arranged by the room leader;
  • To carry out children's observation in order to support the assessment of their learning and development;
  • To communicate with parents to achieve a positive relationship that supports their children's well-being. 

These posts will work under the direction of the Children's Centre Manager/Head Teacher. 

Successful applicants will be team players and demonstrate excellent organisational, numeracy, literacy and ICT skills.
