Civil Enforcement Officer
£24,294 - £25,979 per annum plus 1% shift allowance
37 hours per week over a 7 Day Rota

The Parking Service at Warwick District Council are looking for Civil Enforcement Officer (CEO) to join their busy team to help ensure people visiting our car parks have a good experience and to encourage considerate parking, ensuring vehicles comply with parking regulations.
The dimensions of this role:
- Issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) to vehicles that are parked in contravention of the WDC off street parking regulations.
- Record evidence and observations to monitor vehicles parking.
- Report any defects to equipment, signage, parking furniture or road/bay markings in our car parks, so we can arrange for a prompt repair.
- Report any anti-social behaviour problems or activity in our off street car parks. Report abandoned vehicles to management.
This role suits someone who enjoys working outdoors, to act as a high profile ‘Council Ambassador’ engaging with the public, in a confident and friendly manner, sometimes in difficult situations. The team deal with enquiries from members of the public and in addition to Parking enquiries may support other council departments.
This will involve lots of walking so please consider this before you apply. They will need to have a fair and consistent approach towards vehicles contravening the parking restrictions and have the ability to liaise with CCTV, the Police and other Council departments/stakeholders to deal with a variety of anti-social behaviour that may arise in our car parks.
The Parking Service operates 7 days a week including bank holidays with the main operational hours focusing between 08:00hrs until 18:00hrs with some ad hoc early morning patrols and evenings. The job holder will be required to work a shift Rota system during the hours of operation to deliver the service to the district.
The candidate must be confident to work alone with minimal supervision, make decisions without direction at times, reliable, conscientious, self-motivated, flexible and trustworthy.
The job holder will be based in three locations in towns across the district. At times they will be expected to travel between these towns at short notice and therefore a full driving licence is required to comply with these requests and operational duties.

This post is based in Royal Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Warwick, it is not suitable for home or hybrid working.
