An exciting opportunity has risen to be part of the Fire Control Team for Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Service.
 

We are advertising for the role of Fire Control Crew Manager.

Applicants are welcome from current, competent internal/external Crew Manager (Control) and Substantive internal/external Firefighter (Control) who are already competent in role but may wish to transfer and undertake a development programme to undertake a Crew Manager (Control) role in Warwickshire. 

 

About Us
 

Based at our Headquarters in Leamington Spa, you’ll be joining our established team, working on a flexible shift pattern. 

The successful applicant will be joining Warwickshire’s Fire Control at an exciting time as we are currently upgrading our Command and Control and telephony systems so we can employ the latest technology available to provide an excellent service to the people of Warwickshire.
 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
 

As you’ll be the first point of contact to callers dialling 999 for Fire and Rescue, it’s important that you can deliver a high standard of customer care to manage customer and Service expectations.  You’ll need to be able to provide a high quality, professional service to customers by using clear communication, taking ownership of enquiries and finding solutions. 
You’ll need to be able to work dynamically in a high-pressured situation with good analytic/problem solving skills. As Crew Manager you will provide Leadership, supervision and development to support team members in performing their roles competently.
You’ll actively manage reporting staff to establish and maintain effective working relationships - promoting a culture of support, excellence and continuous improvement.
