About the team and the role
Democratic Services is seeking a high calibre administrator to provide support to the Deputy Clerk to the Lieutenancy & Chairman's PA and wider Democratic Services Team.
The Lieutenancy Office is responsible for arranging visits by members of the royal family to Warwickshire and provides administrative support to the Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire and Deputy Lieutenants for all ceremonial duties, honours and presentations conducted on behalf of HM The King. In addition, the Office provides administrative support to the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Council and arranges specific events for the Council.
The post holder will also provide administrative support to the wider Democratic Services team through the day-to-day operation of the systems used for filming and streaming of formal member meetings and the management of committee agendas and reports.
This is a newly created role in the team and we expect the successful candidate to have excellent organisational, communication and diplomacy skills. The ability to build positive working relationships and prioritise tasks effectively is essential, as is a proactive approach to problem solving and an eye for detail.
Experience of working in a civic office or governance environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

A full valid UK driving licence is essential for this role.
The role involves occasional weekend or evening working.
