An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our External Funding Team to help drive forward the economic regeneration of our borough.
We are looking for an experienced bid writer to become part of the team, able to research, co-ordinate and support the development of high-quality funding bids to secure external resources to enable the delivery of strategically important projects.
Working across the Council and with external partners, this role will help raise our game by attracting significant levels of external resources that can make a real difference.
The successful candidate will:
• Be experienced in working with a wide range of stakeholders in developing successful funding proposals and building partnerships.
• Be able to deliver in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines, with the support of a friendly team.
• Possess outstanding written, communication and negotiation skills, with excellent attention to detail.
The role is initially offered through to the end of March 2026, with extensions dependent on the team’s success in securing additional funding.
The role will benefit from hybrid working with an option to be predominantly home / remote based.
For an informal discussion please contact Kaye Davies, External Funding and Business Development Manager, via externalfunding@walsall.gov.uk or 01922 650934.
