EYFS Teaching Assistant – Level 3

Required for January 2024

NJC Scale 2 £11.79 - £11.98 per hour depending on experience.
30 hours per week, term time only.

1 x Permanent Posts, 1 x Fixed term until of summer 2024 (in the first instance)

We are looking for two enthusiastic, highly motivated and experienced colleagues to join our Early Years team. You will work in collaboration with an Early Years teacher and a dedicated team of support staff to support groups of pupils with their learning in order for them to achieve their true potential.

Responsibilities will include:
• Planning adult-led activities
• Delivering planned learning activities
• Promoting and developing children’s independence
• Providing feedback on pupil progress to the teacher and parents/carers
• Recording observations that capture children’s interests and achievements
• Establishing positive supportive relationships with pupils and their families

You will need a good general standard of education including GCSE English and Maths to Grade C or equivalent and an NVQ Level 3 in early childhood development, supporting teaching and learning or similar. Experience of working in a nursery or school setting is essential.
