Job Details
Sandwell Council operates a School Crossing Patrol Service to assist school children and pedestrians on their journey to and from school. We have a vacancy for a Mobile School Crossing Patrol Operative to cover for the Sandwell area and would be pleased to hear from you if you may be interested in doing this essential work. The duties are term time only and are therefore ideally suited to anyone who prefers to take school holidays. The position is term time only.
The successful candidate needs to be able to drive and own their own car as they need to be able to travel to various point in Sandwell to cover absences of SCPOs. Mileage is paid monthly.
Post holders will receive full training and uniform, and payment throughout the year.
The successful candidate will be required by Sandwell Council to complete a mandatory health assessment and safeguarding check.
The successful candidate needs to be:-
- Reliable
- Punctual
- Have a reasonable road safety knowledge.
- Good natured
- Able to work on their own and use their initiative
- Able to drive and own a car
