Teacher - Langley Primary

Langley Primary School is seeking to employ a teacher to teach full time in Y1 or Y3. The post is permanent and would begin in the Summer Term, or earlier if the successful candidate is available. We will honour where you are on the teaching scale (but not any TLRs as this is not a SLT post).

We can offer a school that has high standards and children that are both polite and eager to learn. Last year out KS2 combined result was 11% above national and we have had no suspensions or exclusions for over 10 years. We use a behaviour system using an emotion coaching approach and are Attachment Aware. As a school we teach a project based curriculum but also give time to an enriched curriculum which includes teaching life skills, free music tuition in KS2 and links with the local community (for example we work with our local Dementia Centre). We have individually supported children in most classes and these children are integrated into the classroom. Best of all we have only recently been visited by OfSTED and they won’t be back for a while!

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher who expects high standards of themselves and the pupils and has a positive approach to inclusion. You would be well supported by a strong staff team. Passion to ensure every child achieves and the ability to work as part of a team is more important than experience teaching a particular year group. The successful applicant will be fully engaged in the discussion about whether they teach Y1 and Y3.
