Behaviour Support Assistant
1 year in the first instance
Scale 4, SCP7-11 £24,294 - £25,979 FTE DOE.
Pro-rated to £20,868 - £22,315 term-time only.37 hours per week, 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday-Thursday, 8.30am – 4.00pm Friday (includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch break). Term- time only plus 8 Professional Development Days.
We are seeking to appoint a passionate and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to contribute to raising standards of achievement and attendance as well as maintaining excellent standards of behaviour as part of the exceptional pastoral care provision at Hanley Castle High School.
This is a fixed-term contract for 1 year in the first instance.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Key Stage teams to overcome barriers to learning including behavioural difficulties. This support is likely to include working individually with students, working with students in small groups and working with other parties/agencies including parents.
This role would suit an individual with experience of working in a behaviour focused role either in education or another similar setting and experience managing situations that may involve de-escalation. In addition, proven success working with and motivating young people is essential.
