Revenues Team Manager
GR4 - £30,151 - £37,261
Woodcock Street, Aston, Birmingham / Remote Working
Permanent Working 36.50 hours per week.
Birmingham City Council is looking for a Revenues Team Manager to deal with council tax, business rates and business improvement district levy issues.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone with experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders in supporting council tax, business rates and business improvement district levy collections, to join the Revenues Service as a Team Manager.
The successful applicant will be expected to be able to present and explain information to a variety of audiences and have a strong understanding of the Revenues legislation.
This is a challenging position that requires the successful candidate to recognise the needs of the Council to maximise income whilst maintaining its obligations in respect of vulnerable citizens.
Experience and Skills
You will ideally need
- experience and knowledge of local taxation law and practice
- experience in supervising/managing staff
- excellent written and oral communication and customer service skills
- the ability to understand and clearly explain complex rules
- to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
