The Hearing Impairment Service in Dudley supports children and young people, their families and school staff with varying degrees of hearing impairment in a range of schools, settings and homes.

Hours: 9.75 hours per week

Salary: Teacher's Pay & Conditions + SEN £4,075 + TLR2B £3,871 Location:

Based at The Mere Education Centre

The settings include two resourced provisions for the severe and profoundly deaf, a primary base at Ashwood Park School and a secondary base at The Crestwood School.

The Hearing Impairment Service is made up of Teachers of the Deaf, Educational Audiologists, Specialist Teaching Assistants and a Deaf Support Worker. We are a well-respected dedicated and experienced service. An experienced and qualified Educational Audiologist is required to join the Hearing Impairment Service. The successful applicant will lead, manage and allocate audio logical resources for deaf children and young people across the service areas as well as providing leadership and support to Teacher of the Deaf colleagues in the area of audiology.
