St. Mary’s is a single form of entry primary school with a Nursery class which offers a Catholic education for primary aged pupils (3 to 11 year olds) living within the Parish of St Mary’s, Wednesbury and the surrounding area. We also welcome families from other denominations and faith traditions who are willing to support the mission of our school,

Temporary Contract - Maternity Cover

Hours: 32.5 Hours per week

St. Mary’s prides itself on the sense of family, community and togetherness that enables pupils to thrive in its caring and safe environment. The Directors of St. John Bosco Catholic Academy are seeking to appoint someone with:

  • A commitment to our Catholic faith.
  • Proven, consistently good/ outstanding teaching.
  • The ability to give an enthusiastic contribution to raising attainment and progress at St. Mary’s.
  • Outstanding knowledge and experience of teaching EYFS.
  • The ability to be a team player
  • Good pedagogical understanding of child development
  • An openness to professional development and thinking creatively.
