Job Details
We have an exciting new opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic Resourcing Consultant to join the Resourcing Team.
We have recently realigned our HR Resourcing service structure to position us most effectively to meet the demands and opportunities facing us as a council when it comes to recruitment.
HR Resourcing sits at the heart of the organisation and has a vital role in enabling Sandwell to achieve its ambitions and vision.
As Resourcing Consultant, you’ll support the delivery of some major strategic projects around recruitment, attraction, employer brand, inclusion and diversity and future talent. You will be helping the council to recruit the right people to the right posts at the right time, given the current pressures and the council’s corporate plan.
This role is designed to offer strategic and value-added support that’s needed within the Directorates. To manage the increasing demands on filling hard to fill vacancies, helping to create a strong brand identity and a simpler end to end recruitment process for our hiring managers and candidates.
You will help to lead and motivate and support our Resourcing Specialists and Senior Resourcing Specialist to deliver focussed strategic and value added support that’s needed right now across the council.
Essential Requirements
We’re looking for a hard-working, creative and forward-thinking Resourcing Consultant with a strategic mind-set and ability to support and deliver strategic projects.
You will have the effective leadership skills necessary to drive forward those you line manage, ensuring excellent service and commitment to putting the customer first.
You will be an excellent, accomplished communicator, able to engage and influence a wide variety of audiences and capable of delivering results whilst maintaining professional credibility at all times.
Qualifications:
- Educated to Level 3 NVQ in relevant area or professional qualification or equivalent experience in a relevant area

37 hours per week
The council operates hybrid working. This involves working from an agreed workplace location in the borough for at least two days a week.
