LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
Grade 3, Point 4 (£23,114 per annum approx whole year) Actual salary £7,887 per annum approx. depending on years’ service
Fixed term (linked to transition funding) from January 2024 until 31st May 2024 in the first instance
15 hrs per week (Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 12 noon) Term Time only (38 pupil weeks. Additional time may be required on INSET days for training which will receive an additional payment)
Ridgeway Primary Academy has an excellent reputation and provides a lively and creative environment in which to work. We gained ‘Good’ in our most recent Ofsted inspection and we are a founding member of Primitas Learning Partnership, a new Multi Academy Trust which seeks to make a positive difference in the local community.
Ridgeway Primary Academy is looking for a Learning Support Assistant to support two young children within our Early Years classes (2-4 years) with physical and communication needs.
One child has cerebral palsy and is non-mobile and requires physio exercises. The other has language and communication needs and is non-verbal.
These boys have recently joined our setting and are in receipt of transition funding and are awaiting an EHCP application.
The post will be until 31st May 2024 in the first instance although we would anticipate further funding will be in place by this time.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold an NVQ L2 or L3 qualification or equivalent;
- Have some experience of working with children;
- Working with children with physical or communication needs would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given.
