Halesbury is a growing and welcoming special school. We meet the needs of an increasingly complex cohort of pupils with complex communication difficulties, autism and additional learning difficulties with low levels of cognition and learning.

We are looking to appoint a teacher to our all age ASD specialist provision. The post is within our Secondary Department in one of our mixed age range classes, ages ranging from Year 7 – Year 9.

We organise our classes in pathways allowing us to create bespoke curriculums for a range of pupils within each class.

In order to apply for this vacancy, you must hold a formal Qualified Teacher Status qualification with relevant Secondary Teaching experience and Special Educational Needs experience that includes working specifically with young people with autism. Additional qualifications in autism and SEN are desirable.

Only candidates meeting the above criteria will be considered for this post.

Hours: 32.5 per week, all year round + SEN 1 Allowance
