Help Staffordshire achieve our ambition of good health and wellbeing for all
We’ve got a vision at Staffordshire – we want our county to be innovative, ambitious and sustainable, a place where everyone has the opportunity to prosper, be healthy and be happy. With this in mind, we’re passionate about improving quality and performance within adult social care, and this exciting new role will lead on managing and delivering improvement projects across Adult Social Care.
Main Responsibilities
Working closely with our operations managers and senior leaders, you’ll be responsible for providing oversight and visibility of all projects within the Adult Social Care Programme, ensuring interdependencies and resource implications are managed across the programme. You will act as the Adult Social Care delivery lead for specific strategic or complex projects, for example drafting policy and strategy, researching and interpreting national and regional best practice and statutory guidance, and communicating the need for change to staff and managers.
You will have operational responsibility for leading the Adult Social Care Business Support team, which provides administration support and supports operational business processes for Adult Social Care teams.
Passionate about promoting improvement of adult social care, working collaboratively with our colleagues across Staffordshire County Council and Midlands Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust you will promote co-production and equity and ensure the voice of the person is recognised in the design of improvements.
The Ideal Candidate
An inspirational team worker with experience of initiating and leading improvement projects, you’ll have knowledge of the current legislation and regulations relating to adult social care. Capable of analysing data, interpreting legislation into policy, and co-designing solutions to deliver and embed change. You’ll have excellent planning and project management skills, confident working across organisational boundaries, influencing and negotiating with others to ensure that deadlines are met.
This is a role where you’ll be working with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders, so you’ll be a superb communicator, and your people management skills will allow you to motivate and build a team that consistently achieves and exceeds its objectives. With a high level of personal drive and integrity, you’ll be committed to proactively solving problems and developing innovative solutions to improve outcomes.
