FIXED TERM POST – LEARNING SUPPORT ASSISTANT
TO WORK WITHIN SCHOOL SUPPORTING A CHILD WITH SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL NEEDS
Salary: Grade 4 - (S.C.P.’s 6 – 11)
£7581.57 - £8301.49 per annum (actual)
15 HOURS PER WEEK (term time) + 5 training days
This is a fixed term post until 31.8.24
Leamore Primary School is committed to school improvement. We would welcome applicants with experience of supporting pupils with SEND and adapting their teaching support skills to the needs of the children with learning, behavioural and social emotional needs. We are looking for a dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with complex learning needs, encouraging them to achieve their full potential, celebrate their achievements and participate fully in the life of the school. The successful candidate will be willing to support pupils’ education, personal care and feeding needs as part of a highly supportive team.
The successful candidate will:
- Have NVQ Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning in School
- Have good experience working one to one especially with children with learning, behavioural and social emotional needs
- Be pro-active
- Work well in a team
- Have a positive attitude
- Have a passion for working with children who have Complex Special Needs
