MAIN PURPOSE

The post holder will be committed to our values and ethos and will act as an ambassador for the school.  The post holder will safely transport students to and from educational visits, sporting activities and from home if required, collecting them punctually. The role will involve some evening work (after school) and possible occasional weekend work.  

MAIN DUTIES AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To provide a reliable safe service to students and staff for educational visits, sporting activities, extended school visits and home to school transport where required and directed. Ensure each passenger is comfortably and securely seated including securing wheelchairs if necessary and ensuring that all accesses are clear. To undertake regular routine H&S maintenance checks on the minibuses. To ensure that the minibuses are left clean and tidy after each use. To ensure the minibuses are adequately fuelled for each journey. To record and monitor mileage and any faults before and after every trip. Report any accidents/incidents to your line manager and complete appropriate paperwork where required. To ensure the safety and welfare of staff and students by always complying with the appropriate Health and Safety Regulations and the employment of safe working practices. Ensure the first aid box is checked, the contents are in date & replenished regularly. Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time. To comply with the relevant policies and procedures of the school. Including the school’s behaviour policy, staff code of conduct, H&S policy, driving for work policy.
