The Governing Body is currently looking to appoint a dynamic and forward-thinking Teaching Assistant who has a passion for working with SEN pupils to join our school as soon as possible.

The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting and assisting pupils with physical learning and sensory difficulties and promoting pupils social and emotional development.

Our pupils benefit from staff who are confident and resilient, patient and nurturing and who want to help us to support our pupils to thrive and develop into successful young people.

The post holder will be required to support with personal care and with supporting non-ambulant pupils (those in wheelchairs).

The ideal candidate will have:

•            successful experience of working with children with complex needs

•            excellent communication skills with all stakeholders

•            a commitment to thematic learning

•            a thorough understanding of Restorative Approaches

•            confidence and resilience

•            high expectations

All applicants must be qualified to NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent and be able to evidence this.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for the role.
