Required for December 2023

Our motivation is that every child can achieve their targets with the right support. We understand where the students are at and scaffold them to move to the next level. If you feel the same way and want to make a difference, we would love to hear from you. Our student support faculty is integral to the school’s vision to ensure the young people in our school overcome barriers to their learning and achieve their full potential.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated professional to inspire and enthuse our students to meet their aspirational targets. This is a unique opportunity to combine providing specialist support in a traditional teaching assistant (TA) capacity, as well as mentoring a small group of students (‘cohort’), whilst also observing a wide range of lessons across all subjects and years, enabling you to glean good practice from colleagues and teachers.

This is a unique opportunity to provide specialist support utilising your skills, whilst also observing a wide range of lessons across all subjects and years.  The post could suit an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone looking to enter teaching, as the position would offer school-based experience prior to applying for a PGCE or an apprenticeship.

You will have a strong commitment to inclusive education, have had some experience of, or training in, learning strategies, and have the ability to supervise and support the teaching activities of individuals or groups of young people. The role will include meeting a range of needs of individuals and groups of students (11-18) both in the classroom and other learning environments.

We can offer you a range of benefits which includes cycle to work, free parking, an employee discount scheme, a commitment to staff wellbeing and recognition initiatives through the Trust’s people strategy and well-being committee.

This is an exciting time to join us.  We are part of Castle Phoenix Multi Academy Trust which specialises in leadership and is committed to invest in and develop all staff and, most importantly, bring about the best possible outcomes for our students who deserve the very best.
