Job Details
Hurst Green Primary School is a happy, friendly two form entry school, with amazing children: committed and friendly staff: supportive parents and Governors. We are a popular and oversubscribed school in a residential area on the border of Dudley, Sandwell and Birmingham.
In January 2023 we retained a good rating from Ofsted.
The governors are looking to appoint an experienced, innovative, confident and hardworking level 4 Admin Assistant to work in the busy school office to support and work with the School Business Manager and the part time Administration Assistant.
Grade 5 points 7 to 11: £24,294.00 to £25,979.00 (Actual Salary £19,837.55 to £21,213.45)
The role will assist in securing the high standards of an efficiently run school office and day to day administration.
Duties will include general administration; reception duties; telephone and email responses; dealing with visitors and pupils; financial management; lead on pupil attendance and medical administration.
You will be working as part of the school office team as well as on your own initiative.
The successful candidate will need:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prioritise workloads and multitask.
- To be flexible and thrive in a busy environment.
- Have a high standard of IT, literacy and numeracy skills, supported by qualifications/experience.
- Substantial experience of working in a school reception/administration or similar environment.
- Experience of Integris and CPOMs would be a great advantage.
- The ability to handle confidential information with tact and discretion is required.
- The post holder will be expected to hold first aid training or be willing to attend training.
The post is to commence 8 January 2024.
The post is 35 hours per week 39 weeks per year (term time only). The hours are 8.30am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday with 30 minutes for lunch each day.
The closing date is Thursday 7 December at 12 noon.
