The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

Fixed term contract for two years.

Apprenticeship Pay Scale from 1 April 2017:
Point 1 = £149.85 per week, £4.05 per hour, £7,813.61 per annum – initial salary for all new starters for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship
Progression of pay after 12 months are complete as follows:
Point 2 = £207.20 per week, £5.60 per hour, £10,804.00 per annum completed 12 months and aged 19 - 20
Point 3 = £260.85 per week, £7.05 per hour, £13,601.46 per annum completed 12 months and aged 21 – 24 (Fixed term salary point for higher
Point 4 = £277.50 per week, £7.50 per hour, £14,469.64 per annum – completed 12 months and aged 25+

In this role you'll support the creation of publicity and communications materials and campaigns, using a variety of media including; graphic design, video, photography and animation. You'll also create content for internal communications, designing and contributing graphics and other visual content to internal publications, campaigns and the Working 4 Warwickshire emagazine.

To support your learning and professional skills, you'll attend college for one day a week in order to complete the Level 3 apprenticeship in Design.

Key Requirements

For this role, you will need:

  • Confident communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and visually
  • Good computer skills, including experience of image creating/editing software (such as Photoshop)
  • Confidence using social media (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Google+) and the ability to use various media to promote projects to a range of audiences
  • High levels of enthusiasm and selfmotivation
  • A willingness to learn new skills and take on new experiences

Another important requirement is that you can travel to Warwick, where this job will be based. Travel to work is not something that we can support you with, so please consider how you will get to work each day before applying.

This Apprenticeship will likely start in August/September 2016, subject to satisfactory completion of pre employment checks. You must have completed/be about to complete full time education in order to apply. The Training Provider for this apprenticeship is Warwickshire College. Training will be delivered throughout the apprenticeship, both in college on day release and in the work place.

Please note: This apprenticeship is NOT open to applicants who already have a qualification at Level 4 or above in Design the undertaking of any apprenticeship must be considered as new learning for the individual.
