The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

Fixed term contract for fifteen months.

Apprenticeship Pay Scale from 1 April 2017:
Point 1 = £149.85 per week, £4.05 per hour, £7,813.61 per annum – initial salary for all new starters for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship
Progression of pay after 12 months are complete as follows:
Point 2 = £207.20 per week, £5.60 per hour, £10,804.00 per annum completed 12 months and aged 19 - 20
Point 3 = £260.85 per week, £7.05 per hour, £13,601.46 per annum completed
12 months and aged 21 – 24 (Fixed term salary point for higher Apprentices)
Point 4 = £277.50 per week, £7.50 per hour, £14,469.64 per annum – completed 12 months and aged 25+

Your role will be to support the team and assist with routine Care Records Information Systems administrative tasks, ensuring customer demand is met proactively, positively and in a timely fashion. You'll communicate effectively with customers, stakeholders and partners, and work with Customer Support Analysts to ensure documentation of processes is updated and communicated effectively to system users. By providing support at all levels of the Care Systems Team, you'll gain a full understanding of how the team works together to reach its goals and help to improve the service the team provides to its customers.  The day to day work you do in this role, along with training provided by the team and more generally by the Council, will support you to be able to complete your apprenticeship in Business Administration.

Key Requirements

  • A minimum of five GCSE's at grade A* C, or equivalent, in English and maths
  • The ability to analyse and interpret factual information to solve straightforward problems
  • Commitment to the provision of excellent customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong IT skills able to confidently use Microsoft applications and databases
