Specialist Teaching Assistant (SLCN)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Specialist Teaching Assistant with working knowledge of pupils with communication difficulties to join the team in the Speech and Language Base.
Hours: 32.5 per week
Salary: Grade 5 (£13,505.67 to £15,051.68) plus SEN Allowance:£1,195.96
Location: Speech & Language Base, St Margaret's at Hasbury CofE Primary School
This is a specialist provision in a mainstream school for children with complex receptive language difficulties who require intensive speech and language therapy and specialist teaching. The role requires a Teaching Assistant who is patient, calm and confident, a problem solver and team player, who is flexible and who can take the initiative with a good understanding of access to education for pupils with SEND/speech, language and communication needs.
