The Role

5.0 Hours per Week

We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic midday supervisors to actively supervise children in the dining room, playground and throughout the school premises during the lunchtime period.

A Midday Supervisor must be able to:

  • talk to children and adults in a clear and calm manner
  • listen carefully to children
  • work as part of a group and on their own
  • encourage high standards of pupil behaviour at all times
  • initiate games and activities appropriate to the age of the children
  • work with agreed school systems for behaviour and safeguarding
  • respect confidential information

In addition, they might also be able to:

  • recognise behaviour giving cause for concern and inform appropriate people within school
  • share ideas for constructive play with other Midday supervisors
  • evaluate lunch-time provision, suggesting ways of improving efficiency and the experience for children
