Facilities Manager - Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School
The Romero MAC is seeking to appoint a Facilities Manager to share our vision and values and to contribute to the strategic and operational planning at the schools within the MAC, which is made up of the following schools;
Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School
Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School
St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School
St John Fisher Catholic Primary School
St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School
St Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School
Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School
Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School.
We recognise the positive impact such a role can have on the academies within the MAC and we are looking to appoint someone who is ambitious for ongoing improvement, has strategic planning abilities and a strong influencer and relationship builder. You will need to manage the SSO requirements at Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School and carry out a review to assess the scope of building our own in house Facilities Management team.
There is scope to develop this role in the way you wish, and grow as we grow. You will work in partnership with the Principals, Business Managers and site staff in each of our schools to manage refurbishment and expansion capital projects. Additionally, you will oversee all aspects of the academy properties including upkeep, maintenance, compliance, security, health and safety and facilities management.
This is an exciting opportunity to make this job ‘your own’ and ensure the MAC develops and improves the provision, resources and premises for all our children whilst continuing to ensure that services to our children remain high quality and compliant. This role will provide strength in depth to our Site Services Officer team and work closely with our grounds maintenance and property suppliers.
Ideally you will have experience of site management in an educational and/or a multi site environment, health and safety knowledge, business acumen, flexibility and determination to make a real difference to our MAC. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of specialists in a professional environment and you will need to be able to capitalise on your team leading skills and collaborative approach.
Ideally you will hold a recognised building qualification and you must have a current driving license and the use of a vehicle which should be insured for business purposes.

The place of work will be based at Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School and you will require to work across all eight schools.
Conditions of Service
The normal working hours are 37 per week, for 52 weeks per year. Employees will automatically join the Local Government Pension Scheme on the date of commencement. The post will be subject to a six month probationary period
The MAC holiday entitlement is 27 days per annum plus 8 statutory days (Public & bank Holidays). Leave arrangements must be requested through and agreed in advance with your line manager and Principal of Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School.
