Selly Park Technology College for Girls is a high performing 11-16 specialist community school in the south of Birmingham with 700 girls on roll and a proven record of GCSE success and high CVA scores.

The school has been in the top 3% for Value Added Performance throughout the last decade and indeed has been in the top 1% for many of these years. In 2016, Selly Park was again congratulated by the Department for Education for being in the top one hundred non selective schools in the country for Value Added scores. The school was awarded Pupil Premium Winner Key Stage 4 for the West Midlands Region at 2016 Pupil Premium Awards.

Governors are looking to appoint a well-qualified, excellent practitioner to lead, manage and develop the provision of Physical Education teaching and learning within the school and to ensure appropriate, monitoring, analysis and evaluation. The successful applicant will be expected to lead the department’s strategic and operational development.

To be considered for this excellent opportunity, you will be a good teacher with a proven track record of achievement.  We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic individual who is keen to take on additional responsibility and further enhance pupil progress.

You will join an outward-looking and innovative department with an emphasis on continuing to raise standards across the full ability range (11-16) and will be expected to play a full part in the development of appropriate teaching resources, have sound organisational skills and display an enthusiastic and effective approach to teaching.
