PE is a really popular subject and we are searching for an enthusiastic teacher who has a real passion for PE, excited by extra-curricular activities, who sees sport as a way of bringing students together. 




Our students are taught in well-equipped sports facilities; our indoor swimming pool, large Sports Hall and gymnasium.  We are able to offer students a diverse curriculum and many extra-curricular activities, clubs and varied sporting events, so that our students have maximum opportunity to be fit and healthy, achieve their ultimate best and enjoy sport through recreational and competitive environments.  We would like to launch a house system from September 2024, and so welcome applications from colleagues who can contribute to this initiative.  The House system's aim will be to foster a sense of belonging, encourage participation and celebration and develop student leadership. The Performing Arts and Sports Faculty will play a large role in the House system, running a wide range of large scale, in house, sporting competitions which we will endeavour to grow over the coming years.



You will be able to demonstrate commitment and understanding in order that every student gets the personal support and challenge they need to progress and reach their full potential.  We are dedicated to delivering a learning experience to all students which is stimulating and enjoyable, priding ourselves on being the kind of place people want to work at, where everyone recognises the buzz of excitement and togetherness, whatever stage they are at in their career.  We invest in ensuring the quality of our relationships, fostering and building strong teams to share good and innovative practice, to promote learners’ achievements.




The successful applicant will:


  • Be an excellent practitioner with a passion for teaching and learning; Be able to teach PE up to GCSE Level; Have a record of consistently delivering strong GCSE results across a range of ability levels;   Have an ability to engage, enthuse and motivate students and staff; Have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
  • Deliver a curriculum that inspires and engages students and provides an aspirational and

challenging learning experience.


  • Be a committed, highly competent, energised, reflective and resilient individual. Possess the skills and determination to make a profound difference to the lives of our students by       sharing our belief in the highest standards of academic achievement in an inclusive setting
