The headteacher and governors of St. John’s CE (A) Primary School are excited that an opportunity has arisen for the position of an Office Liaison Associate to support the school community in moving to its next level of school improvement.  They are seeking to appoint a committed and highly focused individual, who will play a key role in our school office, supporting our ethos to ensure families, visitors and children are welcomed at St. John’s.

We are a Church of England Voluntary Aided School, currently a maintained school, and have over 300 pupils on roll. In order to support the school community, we are looking to strengthen how pupils and families transition into school.   We are proud of our children and have a dedicated staff and we feel the liaison aspect of this position will enhance life chances for our children.  This is a welcoming role and it will need someone who very much wants to get to know our families and children and will have a wider overview of school needs.  You will be part of the wider business and finance team and contribute to the business continuity at St. John’s.

The successful candidate will be able to prioritise, take a wider roll in admissions and induction of families, contribute to systems and structures, support the wider team and Headteacher. You will also need to have flexibility and be able to problem solve on a daily basis. Therefore, it is essential that applicants are professional, approachable and very effective and articulate communicators. We invite candidates ideally from a range of educational backgrounds who will share our vision and passion for education and our Christian ethos.

For such a key role we are asking possible applicants to visit the school prior to application. Please email to book a convenient time.

St. John’s is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent English is an essential requirement for this role.  We also need to inform you that a social media check will be undertaken in relation to you.   Our whole school Safeguarding Policy which incorporates Child Protection, can be found on our school website.
