The governors at Forsbrook CE Primary School are looking for an outstanding Teaching Assistant for a temporary post for 15 hours per week. The post requires a talented teaching assistant who is flexible, enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting all of our children’s learning and emotional and social needs.
All applicants must be at least NVQ Level 3 qualified and have a commitment to their own on-going continued professional development. You will need to feel confident within a classroom environment and be able to take direction from a class teacher. The main purpose of this role is to support whole class teaching and learning across all areas of the curriculum demonstrating impact on outcomes for children.
Candidates should state their strengths and interests which may be suitable for enhancing our extra-curricular activities.
A successful Teaching Assistant should have;
- Passion, commitment and enthusiasm
- A strong work ethic
- A proven track record of working with children and young people
- The ability to work in partnership with teachers and parents.
- Have high expectations of children's attainment and behaviour.
- Be caring and patient and able to cater for the individual needs of children.
This post is temporary for one year but could become permanent in the future. Candidates with experience in all primary phases will be considered and in the first instance this post will be within a year 4 class.
