The Alpha Academies Trust (AAT) is seeking to increase our team of Examination Invigilators to provide efficient and effective examination invigilation support. Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be provided. Invigilation may be required across several Trust sites.
To be successful you will need to have excellent organisational skills and contribute to the effective and efficient administration of all internal and external examinations, including some associated administrative tasks. You will need to be flexible, have a good understanding of the importance of teamwork and demonstrate the ability to pay attention to detail. Examinations take place throughout the year so you will need to have availability during term time weeks. You will be required to work closely with young people with varying needs. You will ensure the regulatory requirements as set by JCQ and awarding organisations for the conduct of examinations are strictly adhered to and met at all times.
AAT is located in Stoke-on-Trent and consists of two Secondary Schools, three Primary Schools and a Central Office team. The Alpha Academies Trust has been established to create a network of primary and secondary academies in North Staffordshire. Our purpose is to deliver a first-class education for every child and overcome inequality. This means that we recruit outstanding staff and make their professional development a number one priority.
The Trust offers a benefits package which includes a good pension scheme with a current employer contribution of 26.2%, discounted gym membership, free on-site parking, subsidised meals and Cyclescheme. Annual leave entitlement starts from 28 days, increasing to 33 days after 5 years’ service.
The Alpha Academies Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all its employees and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced check by the Disclosure and Barring Service along with other stringent vetting and induction processes. Please note, references will be sought for all shortlisted candidates prior to the interview.
