Grade: Teacher Main Scale with responsibility for SEND
TLR2b with SEN qualification TLR2a without qualification, once appointed arrangements will be put in place for the successful candidate to work towards a qualification

Come and join our teaching team and enhance your leadership skills by taking on this TLR responsibility for SEND at Old Park Primary School.
You need to have a minimum of three years’ experience as a qualified teacher and some experience of leading a subject. Whilst having the SEND qualification would be expected, there is no expectation that the successful candidate will already have completed or have even started to course. We are looking for a candidate that demonstrate a passion for supporting SEND pupils and a drive to ensure that they and all pupils reach their full potential. You will be line managed and supported by our DHT who is responsible for inclusion and is a very experienced SENco. Those candidates without the SEND award would be supported to achieve it.
You must have a passion for Teaching and Learning and child development and hold development ideas that will excite and enhance our SEND provision. We also need a teacher with a proven record of raising standards within a primary setting.
Ideally you will have experience of urban Local Authorities such as Sandwell and an understanding of the range of diverse needs that affect school life. We place great value in our staff and provide CPD opportunities to ensure our high standards are maintained. We actively encourage research, lesson study and coaching and mentoring.
