We work closely with Health and use their data systems as part of our s75 agreement with Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Mental Health Trust.  We provide care to people in our North Warwickshire community challenged by severe and enduring secondary Mental Health needs.  We work using the Recovery and Strengths model to maximise a person’s potential, strengths and personal recovery by addressing health and social needs such as medication, accessing support for work, education and leisure as well as supporting them in managing their day to day mental health needs.

About the Role and Key Requirements

As a Social Worker/AMHP in the team you would be expected to hold a case load of service users with long term Recovery needs and help enable them to remain mentally well and gain the true potential in the community. You will be expected to champion the Social Model within secondary mental health. As part of your role, you will be actively involved in Safeguarding some of the most vulnerable service users in the County and use Care Act legislation to commission Care Packages and Placements for service users.

We are looking for an ambitious, enthusiastic, and dynamic individual who is person-centred in their approach and passionate about working in mental health.  The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills and will work effectively as both a team player and on their own initiative.

In return for your hard work you will be able to access both managerial and clinical supervision and will have the support of the Team Leaders in the service, as well as attending social care forums.. You will have access to   a variety of training with both the Mental Health Trust and the Council. You will have the opportunity to train as an AMHP if not already qualified. We also offer support with newly qualified Social Workers through the AYSE programme.
