Please note there is a £1,800 pay award on Matrix Support Staff Pay Scales in April 2024

Full time |37 hours | Monday to Friday | Start Date: March 2024 

The role:

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and proactive Accounts Payable Manager to provide leadership and management to the Accounts Payable and Receivable Teams whilst supporting the Finance Director. This is a great opportunity to join an evolving and growing finance department within a thriving trust. The successful candidate will have experience of managing a fast-paced finance team and possess a strong understanding of financial processes and procedures. You will play a vital part in the development and management of the finance team, this is a varied and interesting role which ultimately contributes to the education of the pupils within the trust.

About you:
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the Accounts Payable teams, developing procedures, monitoring and checking processes;
  • Being responsible for the Creditor and Debtor Control Processes • Monthly reconciliations and reviews
  • Monitor and develop KPIs;
  • Provide finance support to headteachers and all school staff;
  • Develop effective systems of internal audit control, in accordance with the Trust’s;
    Financial Procedures and ESFA’s Academies Handbook.
