Working Pattern
The City of Wolverhampton is seeking to employ dynamic and skilled advanced practitioners who will play a vital role as we continue to develop the way we work with children, young people and their families

1 x 18.5 hour position available.

Advanced Practitioners will have excellent social work intervention skills as well as a broad knowledge base that includes a sound understanding of legislation. They will be recognised as social work experts and will support the management team by providing leadership and development on agreed practice issues. Advanced Practitioners will also provide mentoring and support to ASYE’s and those on CPD programmes and will disseminate research and best practice findings to help improve outcomes for children.

The City of Wolverhampton is determined to work with families to help them achieve good outcomes and advanced practitioners will be passionate about improving social work practice.

The advanced practitioners will very closely with the Principal Social Worker for children and adults together with Senior Social Work Managers. Each role will have responsibility for an improvement theme across the service such as Court Work; Permanency or Managing Risk in Adolescents.
