We have a fantastic opportunity for Play Workers to work in our well established and growing Out of School Club, recently awarded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.We are based at Coten End Primary School in Warwick, Warwickshire.

The post holder will support the day to day activities of the club, providing stimulating activities and a high standard of care for children between the ages of 4 – 11 years old, in a safe and secure environment. You will support the development of the activities and opportunities provided to the children and help to ensure that these meet the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) requirements.

We are looking for the following experience:

A keen interest in understanding child development and an understanding of safeguarding and child protection.

A sense of humour, caring nature, positive outlook and bags of enthusiasm are essential!

Self-motivated and committed individuals who can take the initiative and can work in an energetic and fun environment.

Able to work well in a team and support others to provide care to our children in an enabling and stimulating environment.

You must be able to demonstrate an ability to relate to children and their needs, and understand the supportive nature of the role.

Ability to build trusted relationships. Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with parents and carers will be a key to your success.

Applicants will ideally be qualified to Level 2 but unqualified with a view to training to Level 2 would be considered.Experience in either Childcare or Play work would be an advantage.

This is a great opportunity to be part of a positive, friendly team who provide excellent care for Primary School children. Our Play Workers are an essential part of their development and we have recently been awarded ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

The club is open from 7.45am-8.45am and 3.10pm-6pm, Monday to Friday term time, and 8am-6pm during school holidays

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am – 9am and 2.45 pm – 5.15 pm (20 hours per week Term time only with the option of holiday work). Candidates available to only work either mornings or afternoon shifts will be considered.

Rate of pay: from £7.81 - £8.24 an hour depending on qualifications.
