Street Scene are seeking a qualified, skilled, and experienced arborist to lead the team responsible for the maintenance and management of tree stock within the borough.

 

The successful candidate should ideally have at least 3 years’ experience within the professional arboriculture industry and must hold appropriate professional qualifications in Arboriculture to a minimum of level 4, be able to drive and hold a full UK driving licence, as well as have a good working knowledge of tree related legislation and management, planning legislation, the Hedgerow Regulations and High Hedges legislation. Relevant qualifications should include Arb diploma/HNC/BTEC RFS Cert Arb or equivalent, professional tree inspector and appropriate vocational qualifications for carrying out tree operations.

 

A sound knowledge of health and safety relating to tree work is vital, together with the ability to make recommendations for short and long-term tree management, as well as preparing and over-seeing tree works contracts.

You should be able to identify and take appropriate action to deal with defective or failing trees, carry out inspections and provide written reports.

 

In this role you will need to motivate, lead, and provide direct operational management for a small tree team, as well as having excellent communications skills both written and verbal, and experience in dealing with members of the public.
