Grade C £44,428 to £46,464

FTC/ Secondment until 31/12/2025

(Salary will increase to £45,441 to £47,420 wef 1.4.24)

Warwick District Council is seeking an experienced Procurement professional to fulfil a fixed term role to manage the Council’s procurement team and day to day sourcing operations.

We are looking for an environmentally conscious individual with great communication and relationship management skills to lead the procurement team in working with the Councils stakeholders to not only achieve best value procurement but also contribute towards its social and environmental aspirations.

The post holder will be required to line manage two Procurement Business Partners as well as their workloads, while leading on several high value high profile procurement projects. They must have a high level of knowledge and experience of working within Public Sector Procurement, including leading in the use of complex tender procedures such as Competitive Dialogue and Competitive Negotiation. They also require experience of working with Senior level stakeholders and ideally should have MCIPS.

In addition, the post holder will work closely with the Strategic Procurement and Creditors Manager in delivering Council strategies and policies; and rolling out the new Public Contract regulations (expected Oct 2024).

The role is full time, though flexi time and agile working is applicable. The intention is for this jobholder to work from home. However, office working is available if necessary.
